The Callenge
During my contribution process, I found some words that were not easy to translate because their meaning was not always completely clear. One example was the word «Push», since depending on the context it could have different meanings in Spanish.
I also faced this challenge when translating from Italian intro Spanish, especially with names of cities or provinces. Some names stayed the same, while other had a recognized Spanish version, such as Torino, which becomes Turín.
How I Solved It
To solve this, I reviewed previous translations, checked the glossary, and compared similar terms before submitting my suggestions. This helped me choose more accurate and consistent translations.
What I Learned
This experience taught me that translation is not only about changing words from one language to another. It also requires context, precision, and consistency. It was an important turning point because it made me more careful and more aware of translation quality.
Evidence
Here I include screenshoots of the strings that presented the challenges and the translations I submitted on the Polyglots platform.
